Common Chevrolet Corvette Replacement Parts, 2014-2019

Common Chevrolet Corvette Replacement Parts, 2014-2019 - GM Parts Club

The Corvette C7 ran from 2014-2019 and is the last front-engine Corvette. After enough of these come across the parts counter you start to see the same short list of components over and over. Here is what owners of this generation actually end up buying, and what to know before you order.

Suspension

The usual tell is the nose diving noticeably further under braking than it did new. Mileage is a rough guide here. Load, heat and road surface matter more.

Common parts in this group: shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints, sway bar links.

Worth knowing: Ball joint and control arm geometry sets your alignment range, and an out-of-spec part can make a correct alignment impossible.

Drivetrain and Transfer Case

The usual tell is a clunk on the transition from drive to reverse. The number in the manual assumes conditions most people in North Texas do not have.

Common parts in this group: transfer case encoder motors, front differential actuators, u-joints, CV axles, driveshaft center bearings.

Worth knowing: Transfer case shift motors and encoders are matched to the specific case, and the module reads their position directly.

Interior

The usual tell is carpet that stays damp under a worn factory mat. Heat is the accelerant on this one, which is why it shows up faster here than up north.

Common parts in this group: floor liners, carpet floor mats, console lids, seat covers, shift knobs.

Worth knowing: Genuine trim matches grain and color code, which universal parts never quite do.

Electrical and Charging

The usual tell is warning lights that appear in clusters and then clear themselves. Owners who do mostly short trips see this sooner than the mileage suggests.

Common parts in this group: batteries, battery cables, alternators, starters, body control modules.

Worth knowing: Auxiliary and stop-start systems use AGM batteries, and dropping a flooded battery in is a short path to a repeat failure.

Filters and Fluids

The usual tell is a diesel that derates or throws a fuel pressure code on a neglected filter. Worth checking at the same time you rotate tires, since the wheel is already off.

Common parts in this group: oil filters, air filters, cabin air filters, fuel filters, transmission filters.

Worth knowing: Air filter media density affects the mass airflow reading, which is a fueling input.

Body and Exterior

The usual tell is a hazy or yellowed headlamp lens that no longer projects a sharp cutoff. Catch it early and it is a parts bill. Ignore it and it becomes a parts and labor bill.

Common parts in this group: mirrors, door handles, grilles, bumper covers, headlamps.

Worth knowing: Body panels and lamps have to match the vehicle’s specific mounting points and, on lamps, the exact photometric pattern that was certified.

Before You Order

  • Have the VIN ready. On a Corvette the same model year can carry two or three different engines and several suspension packages.
  • Check the SPID label in the glove box or console for your RPO codes.
  • Front and rear parts are rarely the same number, even when they look identical.
  • If the part is electrical, confirm the fit before you order. Electrical parts are not returnable at any GM dealer, including us.

We have been selling GM parts online since 2009 and out of the Dallas store since 1956. Start with our Chevrolet OEM parts catalog, or search for Corvette parts.
