How GM Parts Shipping Actually Works

Freight rules, oversize parts, hazmat, and why a bumper cover ships differently than a filter.

Small Parts

Filters, sensors, trim and hardware go standard ground and move fast.

Oversize Freight

Bumper covers, hoods, doors, glass, bed pieces and exhaust go freight. Freight is slower, costs more, and requires someone to receive it.

Hazmat

Airbags, seat belt pretensioners, batteries, paint and some fluids have shipping restrictions that are not ours to waive.

Damage in Transit

Inspect before you sign. Note damage on the delivery receipt. That note is what makes a claim work.
