What road treatment and potholes do to suspension and body parts. Applied to a 2017-2023 Bolt EV, here is what that looks like.
Sensors, Cameras and Driver Assistance
Watch for a backup camera image that flickers, goes blue, or shows lines. TPMS sensor batteries typically last seven to ten years and are commonly replaced as a set during a tire change.
Exhaust and Emissions
Watch for a P0420 or P0430 efficiency code. Not scheduled. Converters are warranted separately under federal emissions rules, so check coverage before you buy.
Electrical and Charging
Watch for warning lights that appear in clusters and then clear themselves. Batteries in Texas heat routinely give up between three and five years. Test annually after year three, before the first cold snap.
Interior
Watch for carpet that stays damp under a worn factory mat. Not scheduled. Replace on wear.
The Short Version
- Park assist sensors: Painted park assist sensors are ordered in primer and painted to your code. Confirm your paint code before ordering.
- Catalytic converters: Emissions equipment varies by state of original sale on some model years.
- Batteries: Vehicles with stop-start often use two batteries. Confirm which one you are replacing before ordering.
- Floor liners: Interior color code matters as much as the model year. It is on the SPID label in the glove box or console.
We are a factory GM dealer, not a reseller, so what you order is the same part the service drive installs. Browse our Chevrolet OEM parts catalog or search for Bolt EV parts.
