The body and exterior system on the 2020-2025 XT6 is not complicated, but it is easy to spend money in the wrong place on it. This is the version we give people at the counter.
What You Will Notice First
- A hazy or yellowed headlamp lens that no longer projects a sharp cutoff
- A mirror that shakes at highway speed after a folding motor fails
- A door handle that pulls with no resistance
- A window that drops into the door or moves crookedly
None of these are emergencies on day one. All of them get more expensive if you sit on them.

Why the Factory Part Matters Here
- Body panels and lamps have to match the vehicle’s specific mounting points and, on lamps, the exact photometric pattern that was certified.
- Mirrors carry cameras, heaters, turn signals, blind zone modules and puddle lamps, and the wiring connector varies by content level.
- Factory paint codes only work if the substrate and primer are the same.
Service Interval
Not a scheduled item. These are damage and failure replacements.
Ordering Notes
Trim level changes almost every exterior part. Take a photo of the connector on the part you are replacing before you order. On the XT6 specifically, trim and package content is the thing that trips people up.
