Back to School Fleet Check: 2020-2023 Chevrolet Corvette Checklist

Back to School Fleet Check: 2020-2023 Chevrolet Corvette Checklist - GM Parts Club

Brakes, wipers and lighting on the family hauler. Applied to a 2020-2023 Corvette, here is what that looks like.

Sensors, Cameras and Driver Assistance

Watch for a park assist system that disables itself in cold weather and comes back warm. TPMS sensor batteries typically last seven to ten years and are commonly replaced as a set during a tire change.

Suspension

Watch for the nose diving noticeably further under braking than it did new. Shocks and struts are wear items. Plan on inspection at 50,000 miles and replacement somewhere between 60,000 and 100,000 depending on road quality and load.

Glass and Wipers

Watch for a rain sensing system that triggers late or not at all. Blades every six to twelve months. In North Texas, summer heat kills blades faster than winter does.

Drivetrain and Transfer Case

Watch for a clunk on the transition from drive to reverse. Transfer case and differential fluid on a schedule that tightens sharply if you tow or run in dust. Wheel bearings are replaced on noise, not on mileage.

The Short Version

  • Park assist sensors: Painted park assist sensors are ordered in primer and painted to your code. Confirm your paint code before ordering.
  • Shocks: Trim and package content matters enormously here. Off-road packages, air ride and adaptive or magnetic damping all use different parts than the base vehicle wearing the same model name.
  • Wiper blades: Driver and passenger blades are frequently different lengths on the same vehicle.
  • Transfer case encoder motors: Ride height, axle ratio and locking differential content all change these numbers.

If you are not sure which version fits your build, send us the VIN and we will confirm before anything ships. Shop our Chevrolet OEM parts catalog or search for Corvette parts.
