Common Buick Envision Replacement Parts, 2021-2023

Common Buick Envision Replacement Parts, 2021-2023 - GM Parts Club

The Envision 2nd Gen ran from 2021-2023 and is 2.0L turbo, quiet-tuned cabin. After enough of these come across the parts counter you start to see the same short list of components over and over. Here is what owners of this generation actually end up buying, and what to know before you order.

Heating and Air Conditioning

The usual tell is a clicking or ticking behind the dash when you change temperature. This is one of the items where a towing or work truck and a commuter diverge sharply.

Common parts in this group: cabin air filters, blower motors, blower motor resistors, A/C compressors, condensers.

Worth knowing: Blend door actuators are calibrated position devices, and the module learns their travel; generic units frequently will not calibrate.

Body and Exterior

The usual tell is a mirror that shakes at highway speed after a folding motor fails. Catch it early and it is a parts bill. Ignore it and it becomes a parts and labor bill.

Common parts in this group: mirrors, door handles, grilles, bumper covers, headlamps.

Worth knowing: Mirrors carry cameras, heaters, turn signals, blind zone modules and puddle lamps, and the wiring connector varies by content level.

Ignition and Engine Management

The usual tell is a misfire code that follows the coil when you swap it to another cylinder. The number in the manual assumes conditions most people in North Texas do not have.

Common parts in this group: spark plugs, ignition coils, camshaft position sensors, crankshaft position sensors, oxygen sensors.

Worth knowing: Plug gap, heat range and electrode material are specified per engine, and GM’s Active Fuel Management and Dynamic Fuel Management engines are sensitive to it.

Brakes

The usual tell is a pulse through the pedal or the steering wheel under moderate braking. Catch it early and it is a parts bill. Ignore it and it becomes a parts and labor bill.

Common parts in this group: brake pads, brake rotors, brake calipers, brake hoses, wheel speed sensors.

Worth knowing: Pad compound changes brake torque, and brake torque is one of the inputs the stability control system assumes it knows.

Interior

The usual tell is carpet that stays damp under a worn factory mat. Owners who do mostly short trips see this sooner than the mileage suggests.

Common parts in this group: floor liners, carpet floor mats, console lids, seat covers, shift knobs.

Worth knowing: GM Accessories liners are laser-measured to the specific floor pan and retain the factory anchor posts, which is a safety item.

Cooling System

The usual tell is a heater that blows cool at idle and warm at speed. The number in the manual assumes conditions most people in North Texas do not have.

Common parts in this group: radiators, water pumps, thermostats, coolant hoses, cooling fans.

Worth knowing: GM cooling systems are DEX-COOL based and the seal and gasket materials are chosen for that chemistry.

Before You Order

  • Have the VIN ready. On a Envision the same model year can carry two or three different engines and several suspension packages.
  • Check the SPID label in the glove box or console for your RPO codes.
  • Front and rear parts are rarely the same number, even when they look identical.
  • If the part is electrical, confirm the fit before you order. Electrical parts are not returnable at any GM dealer, including us.

Ordering is easiest if you have the VIN in front of you. Head to our Buick OEM parts catalog to shop by vehicle, or search for Envision parts to go straight to a part.
